IF YOU CONFIRM
The driver's seat bottom very slightly "rocks" and/or "shifts" back and forth when
accelerating, braking, or when making a turn.
ACTION
Replace the driver seat frame (adjuster assembly) with a new one.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Write down all radio station pre-sets.
RADIO STATION PRE-SETS
2. If equipped - write down/record the following customer settings for the ATC
(Automatic Temperature Control) system (refer to the ESM as needed):
l Temperature Setting Trimmer
l Foot Position Setting Trimmer
l Inlet Port Memory Function
3. Turn the ignition switch OFF.
4. Disconnect both battery cables - negative cable first.
5. WARNING:
6. Carefully remove the driver seat from the vehicle.
l Refer to section SE of the ESM for seat removal procedure.
7. Replace the seat frame/adjuster assembly.
l Refer to the ESM - SE Section, Front Seat Driver Side: Disassembly and
Assembly.
l Seatback Removal.
l Seat Outer Finisher Removal.
(2) Refer to the current Nissan Warranty Flat Rate Manual and use the indicated
FRT.
IMPORTANT: Follow all cautions, warnings, and notes in the Electronic Service Manual
(ESM) when working on or near a Supplemental Restraint System (SRS),
such as an air bag.

8. Connect the battery cables - positive cable first.
9. Reset the clock and the radio station presets.
10. Refer to the Service Manual for the following "reset/relearn" procedures:
l Power Window Initialization
l Sunroof Memory Reset/Initialization
l ATC Temperature Setting Trimmer (A/C system)
l ATC Foot Position Setting Trimmer (A/C system)
l ATC Inlet Port Memory Function - FRE and REC (A/C system)
l Rear View Monitor Possible Route Line Center Position Adjustment (if
equipped)
l Steering Angle Sensor Neutral Position
11. Inform the customer they will need to "reset" their Automatic Drive Positioner.
SEATBACK FINISHER REMOVAL
1. Reach under the seat and disconnect the 2 elastic straps for the toe flap.

2. Insert your fingers behind the bottom corners of the finisher.
3. Pull the finisher to unsnap the bottom clips.

4. Hold the finisher on the outboard side (side towards the door).
5. Pull the finisher to unsnap the outboard side hook.

6. Hold the top of the finisher and push it down about 1 inch.

7. Pull out on the outboard side of the finisher.
8. Reach behind the finisher.
NOTE: The seatback finisher is held on with:
l 2 top hooks
l 2 side hooks
l 2 bottom clips

9. Unsnap the inboard side hook.

SEAT OUTER FINISHER REMOVAL
1. Carefully pull out on the center of the finisher.
2. At the rear of the finisher, insert a plastic trim tool in the gap.
3. Carefully pry between outer and inner finisher.

4. Continue to pull while pushing on each clip.
l See Fig. 12 on the next page for clip locations.

5. With the rear of the finisher unclipped, carefully pull on the finisher to release
the 4 side clips.
l See Fig. 12 for side clip locations.

6. To release the front clip:
a. Pull on the front edge of the finisher,
b. And pry between the finisher and the seat frame with a plastic trim tool.
