SERVICE INFORMATION
l The Applied Vehicles above have wiper blade covers installed on the wiper blades
at Nissan Plant facilities before the vehicle is shipped for sale.
l The wiper blade covers protect the wiper blade and prevent wiper blade damage
during vehicle transportation and storage.
l These covers should remain on the wiper blades until the vehicle is sold.

l Wiper blade covers must be removed from the wiper blades just before the vehicle
is delivered to the customer.
l See the Service Procedure on the next page for wiper blade cover removal
information.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Hold the wiper arm and lift the wiper away from the windshield.

NOTE: Figure 1 shows a wiper blade cover being removed from an Altima.
Titan and Armada wipers are of a different style, but cover is removed
with the same procedure.
CAUTION: l DO NOT lift by holding the blade (see Figure 2).
l This may deform the blade and reduce wiping performance.

2. Slide the wiper cover off of the wiper blade as shown in Figure 4.
l The wiper cover for the Altima, Maxima, Titan and Armada has a stopper that
will prevent it from sliding towards the passenger side (see Figure 3).
l Sliding the cover towards the passenger side on the Altima, Maxima, Titan and
Armada will damage the wiper blade.
CAUTION: For Altima, Maxima, Titan and Armada, the cover must be
removed towards the driver side as shown in Figure 4.

l Murano, GT-R, and 370Z do not have a stopper on the wiper cover and it can
slide to both passenger and driver side without damaging the wiper.

4. Perform steps 1, 2 and 3 for both wiper blades.
OTHER WIPER COVER INFORMATION
l If the wipers are operated during transportation and storage, the wiper covers may
move out of place as shown in Figure 6.
l If for any reason you need to operate the wipers before the vehicle is delivered
to the customer, make sure the wiper covers are properly installed and will not
interfere with wiper operation.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
