There is a buzzing sound when operating the left side (driver side) 3rd row power seat.
ACTION

1. Replace the power seat motor flex cable.
^ Use the new flex cable ("Cable and Conduit Kit") listed in the Parts Information.
^ Confirm the new conduit is a "black" color (not white or natural color).
2. Apply urethane pad to the bottom of the 3rd row seat power seat control unit.

SERVICE PROCEDURE
1. Remove the 2 covers and 2 mounting nuts for the 60% side of the 3rd row seat.

2. Raise the 60% side 3rd row seat cushion.
^ Be careful not to pull out the seatbelt buckle shown in Figure 2.
^ Use the center position shoulder belt to hold the seat cushion UP.
3. Disconnect 2 electrical connectors from the power seat control unit (see Figure 3).
4. At the front of the power seat control unit, release the lock tab and remove the unit.

5. Cut 2 pieces of adhesive backed urethane pad (3/4 in. X 2-1/2 in. / 20mm X 63mm).
^ Use urethane pad P/N 76268 - 9E005).
^ This pad can be found in the Nissan Squeak and Rattle Kit.
6. Stick the pieces of urethane pad on the bottom of the power seat control unit as shown.
7. Reinstall the power seat control unit. Make sure it locks in place.
8. Remove the front bolt of the left rear mounting foot shown in Figure 5.
9. Remove the cargo cover / floor board from behind the 3rd row seat.
10. Use the power seat switch to lean the 60% side of the 3rd row seat forward as shown in Figure 6.

11. Pull the carpet back and remove the gold colored bolt from the right rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the seat as shown in Figures 7a and
7b.
12. Remove the black bolt from the left rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the 3rd row seat as shown in Figures 8a and 8b.
13. Manually lean the 60% side of the 3rd row seat backwards (towards the rear of vehicle) to expose the flex cable drive shaft (see Figure 9).

14. Snap loose the flex cable from the retainers of the black plastic housing.
^ Work from the center towards the outside.
^ The cable is clipped at 8 places.
15. Remove the flex cable ends:
^ 1st from the driven gear (see Figure 11a).
^ 2nd from the motor (see Figure 11b).
CAUTION:
Do not rotate the motor or the driven gear. Rotating either will take the assembly out of synchronization and could lead to seat binding when
operated.
16. Install the new flex cable ("Cable and Conduit Kit") as follows:

a. Fully insert either end of the new flex cable into the motor coupler.
^ The flex cable is the same on both ends.
b. Seat / push the black plastic conduit against the motor coupler.
NOTE:
^ Make sure the new flex cable has a black plastic conduit.
^ For illustrative purposes, a flex cable with a white conduit was used in this photo.
c. Insert the other end of the flex cable into the driven gear.
NOTE:
^ Make sure the new flex cable has a black plastic conduit.

d. Snap the flex cable into the black plastic housing.
^ It snaps in at 8 places.

^ Make sure the new flex cable has a black plastic conduit.

17. Manually move the seat forward and set it into its original position.
^ Make sure the front left pin is inserted into the floor as shown in Figure 15.
18. Hand start the bolt for the left rear mounting foot and then tighten.

^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
19. Align the seatbelt bracket to the right rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the seat (see Figure 17a).
20. Hand start the gold bolt and then tighten (see Figure 17b).
^ Torque Spec:
50 Nm (5.1 kg-m, 37 ft-lb)
NOTE:
Make sure the wire harness mounting clip shown in Figure 17b is secure on the mounting foot and is in the correct position.
21. Hand start the front bolt on the left rear mounting foot and then tighten.
^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)

22. Tuck the seatbelt buckles between the cushion and seatback before you lower the seat cushion.
23. Route the seatbelt buckles up through the elastic strap as shown in Figure 20a and 20b.
^ Make sure the buckle belts are not twisted.
24. Fold down the seat bottom and install the 2 mounting nuts and the two covers.
^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
25. Operate the left side 3rd row power seat and make sure the noise is reduced.

10. Use the power seat switch to lean the 60% side of the 3rd row seat forward as shown in Figure 6.

11. Pull the carpet back and remove the gold colored bolt from the right rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the seat as shown in Figures 7a and
7b.
12. Remove the black bolt from the left rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the 3rd row seat as shown in Figures 8a and 8b.
13. Manually lean the 60% side of the 3rd row seat backwards (towards the rear of vehicle) to expose the flex cable drive shaft (see Figure 9).

17. Manually move the seat forward and set it into its original position.
^ Make sure the front left pin is inserted into the floor as shown in Figure 15.
18. Hand start the bolt for the left rear mounting foot and then tighten.

^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
19. Align the seatbelt bracket to the right rear mounting foot of the 60% side of the seat (see Figure 17a).
20. Hand start the gold bolt and then tighten (see Figure 17b).
^ Torque Spec:
50 Nm (5.1 kg-m, 37 ft-lb)
NOTE:
Make sure the wire harness mounting clip shown in Figure 17b is secure on the mounting foot and is in the correct position.
21. Hand start the front bolt on the left rear mounting foot and then tighten.
^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)

22. Tuck the seatbelt buckles between the cushion and seatback before you lower the seat cushion.
23. Route the seatbelt buckles up through the elastic strap as shown in Figure 20a and 20b.
^ Make sure the buckle belts are not twisted.
24. Fold down the seat bottom and install the 2 mounting nuts and the two covers.
^ Torque Spec:
45 Nm (4.6 kg-m, 33 ft-lb)
25. Operate the left side 3rd row power seat and make sure the noise is reduced.
