1.CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS
Check the self-diagnosis results.
Is above displayed on the self-diagnosis display?
YES - Proceed to diagnosis procedure. See: C1116.
NO - Inspection End
Diagnosis Procedure
Regarding Wiring Diagram information, See: Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Diagrams/Electrical
Diagrams.
1.CONNECTOR INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) connector and stop lamp switch connector.
2. Check the terminals for deformation, disconnection, looseness or damage.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - GO TO 2
NO - Repair or replace as necessary.
2.STOP LAMP SWITCH INSPECTION
1. Connect the stop lamp switch connector.
2. Check the voltage between the ABS actuator and electric unit
(control unit) connector E125 terminal 41 and body ground.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - Perform self-diagnosis again. If the same results appear, replace ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). See: Brakes and Traction
Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Hydraulic Control Assembly - Antilock Brakes/Service and Repair.
NO - GO TO 3
3.STOP LAMP RELAY CIRCUIT INSPECTION
1. Disconnect the stop lamp relay connector.
2. Check the continuity between the ABS actuator and electric unit
(control unit) connector E125 (B) terminal 41 and stop lamp relay connector E12 (A) terminal 4.

Continuity should exist.
Is the inspection result normal?
YES - See: Lighting and Horns/Testing and Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview/Work Flow/Exterior Lighting.
NO - Repair or replace malfunctioning components.
Special Repair Requirement
1.ADJUSTMENT OF STEERING ANGLE SENSOR NEUTRAL POSITION
Always perform neutral position adjustment for the steering angle sensor when replacing the ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit). See:
Brakes and Traction Control/Antilock Brakes / Traction Control Systems/Steering Angle Sensor/Testing and Inspection/Description.

2.CALIBRATION OF DECEL G SENSOR

1.CHECK DISPLAY UNIT POWER SUPPLY AND GROUND CIRCUIT
Check display unit power supply and ground circuit. See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Testing and
Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics/Power Supply And Ground Circuit/Display Unit/Base Audio.
Is inspection result OK?
YES - GO TO 2.
NO - Repair malfunctioning parts.
2.CHECK CONTINUITY OF COMMUNICATION CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect display unit connector and AV control unit connector.

3. Check continuity between display unit harness connector M93
(A) terminals 11, 22 and AV control unit harness connector M44
(B) terminals 56, 44.
4. Check continuity between display unit harness connector M93
(A) terminals 11, 22 and ground.
Are continuity results as specified?
YES - GO TO 3.
NO - Repair harness or connector.
3.CHECK COMMUNICATION SIGNAL
1. Connect display unit connector and AV control unit connector.
2. Turn ignition switch ON.
3. Check signal between display unit harness connector M93 terminal 11 and ground with an oscilloscope or CONSULT-III.
Are voltage readings as specified?
YES - GO TO 4.
NO - Replace AV control unit. See: Accessories and Optional Equipment/Radio, Stereo, and Compact Disc/Radio/Stereo/Service and Repair/AV

4.CHECK COMMUNICATION SIGNAL
